British Rapidplay Chess 2016-Second day report. November 13th 2016

Hi there,

Well the second day of The British Rapidplay Chess started at 9.45a.m.

A minute’s silence was observed for Remembrance Sunday at 11 a.m.

The morning was dry and sunny, but rain was forecast for the early evening.

The Free Raffle Prizes were drawn. Thanks to all the donations including Chess Direct.

More Photos of the event will appear on the website in due course. F.I.D.E. results will go to the E.C.F.

Thanks to Jon Griffiths who will compile and finish all cross-tables plus F.I.D.E. Results in due course.

Well in the Junior Section the under 16 champion was Arya Parnian with 4.5/5

In the under 12 section Adam Hussain won with 4/5

In the Minor section A. Tangirala of Alwoodley won with 9/11 .

In the Intermediate event A. Sompton won with 8.5/11 whilst R. Desmedt came runner-up with 8/11

In the Major , Aram Ter-Gevorkian (Greece) won with 9/11

In the Open ….

Joint Winners with 9/11 were
